Egg Plant

An Egg Plant is a skateboard trick where the rider approaches the lip backside, grabs the board on the toe side in front of the back foot, and plants the leading hand on the coping to balance upside down.

Also known as: Eggplant [alternative spelling] / Eggplant To Fakie [variation]

History

Lance Mountain is credited with inventing The Eggplant when he couldnt do the Robo-Rooter. [1]

Name:

The name came from a comment made by Neil Blender, after Lance Mountain first landed the trick while playing a game of add-on with him and John Lucero. [2]

Variations:

The Eggplant To Fakie was invented by Tony Hawk in 1988.
