    Press Release

June 26th, 2010 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Billabong Ante Up, the first Swatch TTR World Tour event of the 2010-11 season, presented by Push.ca went down on Saturday in the Camp of Champions terrain park at Whistler Blackcomb. After about an hour and a half delay due to fog, the event went through qualifying and finals under partly sunny skies.

With an 85 foot Big Air gap into the 40 foot Push.ca double rail feature, the riders were throwing down for the $50,000 USD, Swatch TTR points, and in addition the first place rider would get an automatic invitation to the 2011 Billabong Innsbruck Air and Style event in Innsbruck, Austria. After two heats of qualifying, the field was narrowed down to the top 12 riders, with Canadian Matts Kulisek on top of the field. Riders ran in reverse order for finals, ensuring that Kulisek would jump last in both final rounds.

With double corks abound, the riders were not holding back. In the end, it was Canadian Sebastien Toots Toutant who came through with the big win, landing a frontside cab double cork 1260 to take home the $20,000 first place check. Kulisek took home second with a frontside double cork 1260 and $10,000, and fellow Canadian Mark McMorris ensuring a Canadian sweep rounding out the top 3 with a backside double cork 1260 and $6,000. To see three 1260 double corks all different sitting on the podium, the era of the double cork being the norm is truly among us. On his win, Toots commented Im super stoked to have come out here. This is the first time Ive ever landed this trick in a contest, and winning $20,000 is killer.

After hitting the rail, all riders then went to work on the Push.ca rail feature that was set up. There was a winner takes all $5,000 up for grabs for the best trick thrown down, and it was Dash Kamp from the US who locked into the rail to take home the cash.
