Information

The National Mid-Winter Skateboard Contest was held in conjunction with the Mid-Winter Surfing Championships in Santa Monica in December 1963, and was the first skateboard contest ever held.

The purpose of the contest was to find skateboarders to form the Makaha Exhibition Team.
